Daylight Schmavings
Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get far away from my pot pie!
Last night, this pie vanished within minutes. There was not a scrap left behind as a memorial of the chicken and vegetables that gave their lives for this dish.
But, they will live forever in our bellies.
First, the pie crust which I baked up for 10 minutes.
Then, the filling: onions, leeks, carrots, garlic, butternut squash, chicken, seasoning, broth
Put it all together, and top fancifully.
I baked this for another 20 minutes in the oven. Then, I let it cool before letting the wildebeests boys into the kitchen.
The next time I set foot in the kitchen, the dish was cleared. Must have been good
We played lots of Balderdash and laughed off the meal. That is such a fun game, if you’ve never tried it.
This morning, I made a big batch of pumpkin pancakes and enjoyed an extra hour of sleep.
Also: Check out my new BIO page, someone had a little too much fun with Photoshop!
