Not every meal is a winner, but at least it is still a dinner. I think I exhausted my creative culinary juices over the course of the week. Last night, I has absolutely zero inspiration to cook dinner.

I had to snap a picture of the lamest dinner I have ever prepared. A bland tuna wrap with spinach, half-heartedly rolled up and stuck with a toothpick. On the side, carrot and celery sticks. No dressing, no hummus. J & I choked this down, knowing we would be eating much tastier things this weekend.

After dinner, we enjoyed a rousting round of firewater. Squirt bottles are the ultimate defense against unruly felines.

Jelly was caught licking the bacon fat out of the bottom of the pan (sitting on the stove.) I tried to capture the criminal in the act, but he was lying low. Literally.

We’ll get you next time, kitty.

Also entertaining: A bigger crane, in Legos. Remember the original story about a crane company coming to pull a car out of the water. The crane wound up tipping over the edge and into the water with the car. So they got a bigger crane. It managed to retrieve the car, but the 2nd crane went over when trying to pull out the small crane.

I absolutely love whoever took the time to create this scene. Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Enjoy some bacon!

  1. Is it weird that sometimes I crave bland? Often when I’ve had too much decadence when eating out… so it makes sense that you’d eat that during your bacon extravaganza!

I still have no taste buds… give me celery or give me death! It’s true, and probably necessary for the body not to combust.
