We’re Doing the Continental
It’s okay to judge a hotel by their cover continental. Most hotels offer their guests breakfast spreads ranging from bad to good.
How delighted was I to see a big plate for fresh fruit and pastries to boot? I’m not your average egg & meat eater in the morning. 90% of the time, I survive solely off loaded oatmeal for breakfast.
The remaining 10% of the time, I’m eating pastries. I could use some more protein in my breakfast, but it’s not a requirement.
They also offered bagels, toast, & spreads, plus cereal, oats, and yogurt.
I was quickly satisfied with a container of cinnamon roll oatmeal, and a plate full of fresh fruit + pastry. I went back for a raspberry and cheese croissant as soon as it came out of the kitchen (my absolute favorite!)
J went with a bagel and some fruit. We were both happy with their offerings, and relieved that we wouldn’t have to go down the street for Dunkin’ Donuts all weekend.
This morning, I had pretty much the same thing, except I added two pieces of toast to cure my hangover. It worked.
We spent the day at the beach and now, we are totally over-sunned. Going to pack up in a few minutes for a romantic birthday picnic on the beach, while we wait for the fireworks show!
What are you up to this 4th?
