Over the weekend, Justin and I enjoyed a Valentine’s getaway and a stay at The Lenox Hotel.

I won a one night stay at The Lenox back in December at a raffle. I figured since the grand prize was won at a blogging event – I ought to blog about it and say thanks to Boston Food Blogs for hosting the raffle! This is truly the first time I have ever won anything better than a t-shirt.

The Lenox hotel is a historic hotel nestled in the middle of Back Bay. It has a restaurant (City Table) and two bars (Solas and City Bar) in the lobby. We were impressed by interior design and historic details throughout the hotel. The lobby is especially warm and inviting with a faux fireplace and ornate décor.

Our package did not include a continental breakfast here, instead the restaurant in the lobby has a menu for breakfast and every other meal through late night and dessert. We could pay a pretty penny for breakfast there, but decided to walk a few blocks to Panera for bagels.

We really loved the Junior suite accommodations. It had a king-size bed, couch, and giant walk-in closet with a fridge. The room was ADA accessible so the bathroom was exceptionally large. Our view was partially obstructed, but I imagine some faces of the building have amazing views of the Prudential tower and downtown Boston. If you want to book a stay here – be sure to ask for a room with a view!

At night, we walked a few blocks up Newbury Street to G20 spa and salon and treated ourselves as part two of our Valentine’s weekend.

I desperately needed haircut, and Justin enjoyed a 30-minute massage. I’ve been to this salon 3 or 4 times now, enough to form an opinion. They provide a great experience even Tabatha would approve.

After dinner at City Table (which I’ll blog about later this week), dessert of Lindt truffles, thin mint cookies, and hot chocolate from the lobby – we were totally stuffed and satisfied. Also later in the week, I will tell you about the box of chocolates I received over the weekend.

Who needs to wait to February 14th to show their love eat all the chocolate?

One Response to Overnight at The Lenox

  1. Um eating all the chocolate should be a daily activity. No need to wait for anything.
