America’s Birthday Cake
Out of 366 days in a calendar (leap) year, the fourth of July is ranked #361 on the list of common birthdays in the U.S. Isn’t it weird that America’s birthday is actually one of the least common days that people are born in America?

With every passing year, I am more and more thankful that my mom gave birth to me on this national holiday. I relish the fact that I’ve never had to go to work on my actual birthday. There are parades, barbecues, and fireworks to round out the celebration. Who could think of a better day to be brought into this world?
My favorite part of the day is enjoying special red, white, and blue shortcakes! I have them every year in lieu of a traditional birthday cake.
Independence is so sweet. Enjoy, America!
