Grades are posted and school is out for the summer. Now that I’m 50% of a Master, it’s back to packed lunches and 40 hour work weeks for this gal.
(Can you spy Tina’s new book in the photo above? How excited am I for her book signing this [...]
My daily routine:
Think.
Calculate.
Analyze.
Analyze.
Fail.
Repeat.
School is tough this semester.
I almost broke down into tears last week because my brain was so exhausted. But, then the earthquake happened in Japan. It gave me a renewed sense of purpose [...]
Note to future self: book a vacation in early March!
Everyone that’s anyone seems to be vacation-bound this time of year, including my little sister. She is currently soaking up the sun in Florida.
I am jealous.
So, Justin and I are dreaming and scheming of a getaway this summer. First, to San [...]
All was quiet on the bloggin’ front yesterday. I spent the entire day working on homework.
Horrible, mean homework filled with all the worst things about physics and math.
I love how my prof signed the instructions “Have fun.” What a great sense of humor. Alas, I worked hard [...]
There is not much for me to update you on, blog world. I am sorry for recent decline in activity, but my brain is pooped.
The midterm went well, even though I didn’t finish at all. I’ve grown accustomed to taken engineering exams and I know I can’t let them get me down. [...]
Popping in just a minute to share new oatmeal combination and a few other things!

I had a few kiwi fruit on hand from my Boston Organics delivery last week. Since I was out of raisins, I decided to dice up a kiwi and toss it into the mix.
Over the course of the past week, there are many things that I have not done.
I did not finish my homework until 30 minutes before it was due today.
I did not sleep adequately.
I did not go to the grocery store.
With all those nots, you ought [...]
In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.
You find the fun, and…
SNAP, the job’s a game!
Guess who’s learning how to design with explosives? Oh yea, that is me.
Somehow, I signed up for this class with no understanding of what it was going to cover. [...]
That’s how much of “a master” I am now, at least according to my degree program. A master of earthquake engineering and soil mechanics… imagine the fun I’ll have with that!
I have definitely worked hard for credit I earned this semester, and I can’t believe I’ll have to start it all over again in [...]
This weekend is the ho ho home stretch. The homework assignments are done, the 3 1/2 hour lectures are through, and all that’s left is studying.
Here is one of my latest graphical beauties. Who wants to learn about slope stability?!
There are just two exams between me and the finish line. By [...]
